Weatherscan by The Weather Channel
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
Weatherscan (by The Weather Channel), formerly Weather Channel Jamz, was launched in 2003 to try to boost the Weather Channel's ratings. Surprisingly, where both the Weather Channel and Weather Channel Jamz had both failed miserably, Weatherscan was a ratings hit, charting at around 23 in the ratings.
That was when Weather Channel made yet another mistake by adding their name at the end of the article. Then, the ratings slooooooooowly began to drop, until they just hit rock-bottom altogether. Even a new attempt at the network layout was unsuccessful.
A book was written about Weatherscan, The Rise and Fall of Weatherscan, in 2006. Like its namesake, it has not done well.
