The Unit

From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.

The Unit is an counter-terrorism program developed by the Department of Homeland Security. Headed by Major League Baseball pitcher Randy Johnson, America's elite, ultra-secret squadron of terrorism fighters reports directly to President George W. Bush and are allowed to do anything necessary to fight the War on Terror. While few official details are known about "The Unit", it is believed that the organization operates both abroad and in America. "The Unit" supposedly uses murder, rape, drugs, torture and assassination to achieve its stated goals. Despite opposition by the FBI, the CIA, and various misinformed liberals, "The Unit" has helped further the cause of truth, justice, and the American way.

In order to mollify concerns about the reported abuses performed by "The Unit", Homeland Security has developed a television show about the organization entitled The Unit. Broadcast on CBS, the show attempts to ease the worries of CBS viewers (who make up the majority of Americans who actually watch Campaign!). The Unit focuses less on the "total destruction" aspects of "The Unit" and more on the "warm, fuzzy, romantic" side of the organization. As a result, the show has been renewed for yet another season.
