The Return of Jezebel James is an upcoming situation comedy scheduled to air on FOX in 2008, as a midseason replacement show. The Return of Jezebel James was created by executive producer Amy Sherman-Palladino in association with ILM.

Plot Summary
- "Jezebel James, a female clone of 19th century outlaw Jesse James, is created by ILM as a result of a mysterious laboratory accident. James escapes from ILM's control and makes her way to a large, unnamed American city. Disguising herself as a typical housewife, James must learn the ways of the 21st Century and deal with her unfamiliar female body as well."

Production
The Return of Jezebel James came into fruition as a result of a golf bet between Amy Sherman-Palladino's husband Daniel (listed as a line producer in the credits) and several unnamed FOX executives. While details are uncertain, it is believed that a sharply breaking 40-foot putt was involved in the "negotiations". Soon after the game, FOX ordered 13 episodes of The Return of Jezebel James.
