The Replacements is a Disney Channel dramatic series that premiered in 2006. Set in 1985, The Replacements tells the story of a group of struggling teenagers from Montana who try to make it big in the world of alternative rock. The band's story is told from the viewpoint of Keanu Reeves, who plays the group's long-suffering manager.

Much like the producers of The Beatles did years before, the producers of The Replacements selected a group of struggling young actors to play the parts of the musicians in the band. After extensive musical training, the show's actors even recorded a CD entitled "Hannah, Montana" (the Canadian setting of The Replacements). Promoted by the same people who orchestrated the meteoric rise of Ashlee Simpson's musical career, "Hannah, Montana" shot up to number 413 on the Billboard musical charts. Flushed with success, the producers of The Replacements have made plans for the "band" to open for Supernova, eventually.
