The Loop

The Loop is a Fox program airing on Wednesday nights after American Idol. Initially, The Loop was a gritty crime drama set in the mean streets of Chicago. However, Fox executives quickly realized that the post-Idol time slot wasn't suited for such a show, so they got rid of most of the crime after the first season. The Loop now consists of a bunch of police detectives, sitting in a non-descript Chicago (played by Vancouver) building, whining about their miserable lives. Producers of The Loop insist that the show is realistic and innovative, although some people may have doubts about that.

The theme song to The Loop is "Hockey Monkey" by James Kochalka Superstar and the Zambonis. No, really. Why that song, nobody knows.
