The Jeffersons was a sitcom that aired on ABC from 1975 to 1981. It starred Bill Cosby as President George Jefferson, the third President of the United States; and Phylicia Rashad as First Lady Sally Hemmings "Weezie" Jefferson.

While historians cringed at the comedy's inaccurate portrayal of Jefferson's White House, audiences tuned in every week to see what antics George & Weezie would get up to.
