The Human Torch

The Human Torch (b. Johnny Thunder Storm) was formerly a racecar driver who frequently injected steroids into his racecar. He got his powers when his car exploded on him, and instead of killing him, he just kept on burning, and eventually flew off the roadway, claiming "I've had enough of this." He joined the Fantastic Four in 1961 and remained there until 1978, when he left after finding out that a robot had replaced him. Cries of "He's not even on fire! God!" were left unheard, but in 1979, the robot was booted out of the team and the Torch was asked to return. He did so, but not without suing the team first in 1980. He remains an active member, though all he really does is fly around like a man possessed.
