The Book of Daniel

The Book of Daniel was a dramedy that aired for six episodes on NBC in early 2006. It starred Ralph Macchio as Daniel, a young Jewish martial arts student who was exiled in Babylon and lived in the palace of King Nebuchadnezzar (Laurence Fishburne).

Daniel and his three friends, Shadrach (Matthew Perry), Meshach (Matt LeBlanc), and Abednego (David Schwimmer) discover just how hot it can get when they refuse to bow down to Nebuchadnezzar's god.

Episode 4: "Just Wait Until Joyce Kilmer Gets Here"

Nebuchadnezzar dreams about trees, and drives Daniel nuts.

Episode 5: "Belshazzar's Feast"

Daniel sees the writing on the wall and tries to figure out how to leave Nebuchadnezzar's court. Keith Carradine guest stars as Jackie Chan.

Episode 6: "I'm Not Lion"

Nebuchadnezzar introduces Daniel to Mufasa, the Lion King (voice of James Earl Jones).

Unaired Episodes?

It is rumored that two further episodes were produced but never aired; however, many fans consider this to be apocryphal.
