"They're more than meets the eye?" What the hell is that supposed to mean?

I am holding a Transformer in my hand right now -- the Deceptacon Runamuck, I believe -- and it looks like a metal toy robot to me. Oh, if I fold Runamuck up, I can turn him into a sports car with orange flames on the side. And, um, that's pretty much it.

Does Runamuck have some sort of rich inner life that I'm missing? Is there some kind of Easter egg that allows me to convert him into something else, like a kitchen appliance or a mortal weapon or what have you? Or is it just a damn kid's toy that's either a robot or a sports car? Sounds like they're pretty much all that meets the eye to me. 66.159.231.84 19:26, 28 March 2006 (PST)

They're suppose to be robots in disguise, right? How much of a disguise can a talking car be? I mean, c'mon! Transformers in drag... now THAT'S a disguise!
