TMZ on TV

From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.

TMZ on TV is a syndicated television show that is scheduled to begin airing in September 2007. Created in response to the CW series Gossip Girl, TMZ on TV claims that it will "clear the air about what's really going on in Hollywood" and has been quoted as saying that "Gossip Girl is just a big fat slut, that's all".

What Kind Of Name Is "TMZ" Anyway?

The term "TMZ" has its origins in California. Originally, it was the acronym "TMI" which is short for "Too Much Internet", a term used for the actors who would sit around all day drinking coffee and surfing the Web on their laptops. Eventually, the acronym was changed to "TMX" because the letter X is much more extreme. After being assured that Z is the new X, the term was changed to "TMZ", which it has remained for six whole months now.
