TLC is a cable television network.

TLC originally stood for "The Learning Channel". The network stopped referring to itself by that name when it was scientifically proven that it's impossible to learn anything from wholly 98% of the network's programming. This mostly consists of homosexuals belittling people's horrible fashion sense and suburbs-dwellers destroying their neighbors' homes with staple guns and several bolts of purple taffeta.

The other 2% of the network's programming still adheres to the original charter. These scant few shows can indeed be an excellent learning tool, assuming you want to learn about horribly-disfiguring birth defects, ovarian cysts the approximate size and shape of Hervé Villechaize, or some dumb couple and their dumb fetus.
