(Redirected from Skinemax)

Cinemax was a cable network founded in 1980 as a joint venture between HBO and the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services in order to bring sex education programming to the nation's adolescent males.

While initially a huge hit with its target demographic, its popularity began to wane in the late 1990s as The Internet took over as the chief provider of sex education information for the country's youth; in 2002 Cinemax ceased operations.
