Scott Baio

From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.

As a child actor, Scott Baio seemed to be living a charmed life, landing the starring role of Chachi Arcola on the sitcom Happy Days and its wildly successful spin-off, Joanie Loves Chachi.

But after those series ended, Baio was typecast and unable to find new work. He became a drifter, eventually ending up as a house boy for the Pembroke family in Los Angeles. He lived with the Pembrokes for eight months, until the entire family disappeared under mysterious circumstances, and Baio was nowhere to be found. When questioned, Baio's friend and fellow drifter Buddy Lembeck claimed no knowledge of what had happened.

A year later Baio resurfaced again--along with pal Lembeck--at the exact same house where the Pembrokes once lived. Baio talked his way into once again becoming the house boy for the house's new residents, the Powells. Baio lived with the Powells for three years, until in late 1990 the Powells and Lembeck went missing. Baio was held and questioned under suspicion of foul play, but was eventually released as there was no evidence supporting the claim that he had something to do with the disappearance of the two families.

One of the Powell clan, Jaime Powell, would resurface two years later, having changed her name to Nicole Eggert and starring in the Baywatch series of infomercials with David Hasselhoff; but when her true identity was revealed by investigative reporters for Entertainment Tonight she refused to answer any questions about Baio or the disappeareance of her family, and soon disappeared again, seemingly forever.

Baio himself would finally resurface in 2005, working for the Bluth family, who themselves would disappear in early 2006; the location of Baio and the Bluths is presently unknown, and Baio is once again wanted for questioning by the Los Angeles police. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Baio is asked to call 1-800-CRIME-TV.

However, he is best known as Jimmy Baio's cousin.
