Sabrina Lloyd grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, turning to copious drug use to seek refuge from the cold and unfeeling world that surrounded her. Hallucinogenic substances were her prime drug of choice; by her early twenties, she was living almost entirely in a fanciful mindscape of her own design. Her diaries from the period feature lengthy rambling regarding a meticulously detailed world, including travels far and wide while accompanied by a dwarf, a soul singer, and a mysterious gentleman referred to only as "Kangaroo Jack", whom she felt compelled to steadfastly stand by throughout all her adventures.

After years of such chronic self-abuse, however, Lloyd suffered from a psychotic break, convinced that an alien race set on invading the earth was intent on using her in a forced-breeding program. Happily, Lloyd took quite well to her extensive psychological therapy and treatment for chemical dependence. In short order - no small thanks to a work furlough program - she became hired on as the Senior Associate Producer of a sports news program.

Said program was short-lived, however - lofty positions such as Senior Associate Producer being staffed by drug-addled youth should not be discounted as a reason - and a forlorn Lloyd bummed around Smallville for a while. Thanks to a spot of clerical mishap and a healthy dollop of resume fabrication, Lloyd managed to procure the role of Assistant Attorney while in town. Heartened by this ability to procure highbrow employment from such blue-collar origins, she successfully applied for a position at the FBI, holding her post for a full year before a in-depth background check of her lack of mathematical prowess became her undoing.
