Russell T. Davies' Nervous Collapse: Live!
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
Russell T. Davies' Nervous Collapse: Live! is a proposed BBC reality television show starring England's most prolific dramatist since William Shakespeare, namely, Russell T. Davies. According to the script for the pilot episode, Russell T. Davies' Nervous Collapse: Live! will use much the same format as the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon. The main differences between the shows are that the BBC won't be accepting donations on behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and Russell T. Davies' Nervous Collapse: Live! will not mercifully come to an end after 22 brutal hours. Instead, Davies will be forced to continually grind out scripts for every single BBC programme, to be performed live in front of a captive audience. Davies will be shown in the lower part of the screen (much like the advertisements in a Monday Night Football match), typing away at his computer and trying to keep up the pace. Russell T. Davies' Nervous Collapse: Live! will continue until either sweet death or merciful insanity intervene to end Davies' run, and perhaps his career as well.
Originally scheduled for early 2007, Russell T. Davies' Nervous Collapse: Live! has been delayed due to anti-torture lawsuits filed on Davies' behalf by Amnesty International and Justice League Unlimited. The current status of Russell T. Davies' Nervous Collapse: Live! is uncertain at the moment.
