Rock Star: Supernova is a reality television show about a rock band that airs, inexplicably, on CBS. Based on the 1969 television series Rock Star, in which audiences chose the new member of The Beatles, Rock Star: Supernova details the attempts of 15 desperate rock fans to join the newly reformed Guns 'n Roses. Lead singer Axl Rose teams up with Brooke Burke and thousands of bored teenage girls to decide just who will be hauling amps performing in front of thousands of screaming fans. The winner gets to join Axl on his band's upcoming "Chinese Democracy" world tour, to be held in 1997 1999 2000 2002 2003 2006 whenever.

The series was cancelled in mid-2006 when the white dwarf star it was orbiting attained the Chandrasekhar mass and exploded violently, creating the Tommy Lee Nebula.
