Red Dwarf

Looming large in the grand tradition of British science fiction humour, Red Dwarf was produced by the BBC from 1985 to 1973. The plot circled around a Native American midget, whose dreams of being thrown through space were thwarted by the oppressive laws of Florida. In revenge, he donned a mask and bombs, and became the mysterious V for Vendetta (which apparently stood for Very very short), and attempted to blow up the British Parliament. In the series finale, he was thwarted in his efforts by Doctor Who.

Infamous for sexual innuendo, sex, hints about sex, raunchy bits, naughtiness, and sex, the show had almost no following whatsoever in America, thwarted by that nation's Puritan mores.
