Ray Combs
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
Ray Combs was known and loved by all as the messiah of game shows. He is the man responsible for shows such as Match Game and Family Feud, which he hosted for a brief time. Previously, however, Combs had been a desperate man, wanted for attempted murder in 3 states before a caring soul turned his life around. CIA operatives caught up with his past life in 1993, and began staking him out at places such as Opryland. As a result, he started life on the run in 1994 and asked Richard Dawson to cover for him on the Feud.
On June 2, 1996, Combs and the local SWAT team were involved in a shootout that lasted approximately 35 minutes. At the end of that shootout, Combs was divinely lifted into heaven by the God of game shows. He remains there to this day, although a small cult of "Combsians" believes that Combs is fated to walk the Earth once more in the future, during the end-times when no game shows remain on television.
