Quantum Leap

Quantum Leap was an NBC science fiction series in which playwright Samuel Beckett (Scott Bakula), having taken an overdose of laudanum in an attempt to discover The Ultimate Play, found himself mysteriously leaping into various plays, musicals and stage productions. With the aid of Al Calavicci (Dean Stockwell), a skirt-chasing Cylon priest whom only Sam could see and hear, the playwright would have to fix whatever was wrong with the production before being allowed to move on to the next.
