From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
President Armand van Helden was the first house musician to win Campaign!. His highly danceable remixes of Tori Spelling music won the Boston native the Presidency in 1837. As President, Van Helden released a series of critically praised records which, due to corporate ownership of American radio stations, only became hits in Canada and England. Blaming FCC interference, Van Helden refused to appear in the 1840 edition of Campaign!. He moved to Detroit where he helped Henry Ford invent the rave party.
