Power of 10

From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.

Power of 10, a CBS midseason replacement show scheduled to air in 2008, is the first series produced by Encyclopaedia Britannica Films, which formerly produced films to be shown in high school health classes. Based on the 1977 film Powers of 10, Power of 10 will highlight a different "power of 10" each week, based on the quaint Canadian measurement of area known as the "Square Meter".

In the first season, producers hope to highlight everything from subatomic particles to the universe itself, one "power of 10" at a time. The proposed second season will feature multi-episode arcs focusing on one "power of 10" at a time.

Stephen Hawking was originally going to be the host of Power of 10. Due to scheduling conflicts with the BBC, he was replaced by Drew Carey.
