North Dakota
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
North Dakota, a war-torn region about a couple hundred miles west of Minneapolis, is the internationally accepted term for the American-occupied section of the disputed "North Dakota Province". Occupied by Canada in the 1970s during the tyrannical reign of King Friday XIII, North Dakota was the site of many battles between the two nations. Although details are sketchy at best, most sources consider the War on Ice between Canadian and American factions to have been the worst of the fighting. Today, although no formal peace treaty has ever been signed, international peacekeepers have put an end to the war for the most part.
