Norman Lear
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
A legendary King of the Britons, Norman Lear specialized in exporting British television series to the United States.
Lear produced many television shows, but no sons; so to arrange to proper succession of his throne, Lear sent his daughter, Duchess Daisy, to America in search of a husband. After Daisy met and married President George Jefferson, Lear moved to apartment 227 in Washington, D.C., where he continued to bring British sitcoms to the U.S. Lear retired in 1994, moving to 704 Hauser and hanging out at Archie Bunker's Place.
