Nirvana
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
Formed in England in 1991, the band Nirvana is considered to be the most disturbing rock band of all time. Consisting of several aging British "musicians" playing ukuleles, the group won fame throughout Seattle as the "Greatest Band Ever" (which might have been an ironic title). Nirvana's unusual music, which was played at top volume in college dorm rooms for 3 years, drove several talented musicians to suicide. The most notable victim of Nirvana's "music" was Courtney Love, lead singer of the group "Hole", who upon hearing Nirvana's magnum opus "Smells Like Teen Spirit" ingested 20 pounds of heroin and shot herself. Nirvana broke up in 1994 following an argument over whether a ukulele can really ever be out of tune.
