Nevada

From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.

As the 19th century came to a close, the Old West began to vanish and civilization to move across America. Knowing that people would come to miss the old days, President Teddy Roosevelt set aside several hundred thousand acres in the West, establishing the state of Nevada as a reserve. In Nevada, the rules of the Old West would still be in force, with gambling, hard drinking and prostitution a way of life instead of long-forgotten vices.

Of course, gambling, hard drinking and prostitution can still be found almost everywhere. Because of this, Nevada and its capital city, Las Vegas, are today regarded as just another ordinary part of the country.

Visitors to Nevada are warned that upon leaving they may not remember what happened while they were there.
