Variety shows were once thought to be whimsical specials focusing on music and harmless comedy sketches, but in 1987 it was conclusively proven that variety shows never actually existed. Instead, extensive research into the effects of LSD convinced mindless zombies that Donny & Marie were, in fact, human and Shields & Yarnell were, in fact, not.
