Mulligan's Stew

From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.

Mulligan's Stew was an NBC experiment in educational television that aired during the 1977 season. Based on the popular food dish often prepared by top-level chefs, Mulligan's Stew was the story of the Mulligans, a typical suburban family from Ypsilanti, Michigan who adopted a large number of children into their home. The parents struggled to make ends meet while still feeding their extended family wholesome, nutritious meals.

While Mulligan's Stew was highly rated, the nutritional tips given by the show were unpopular with sponsors, dooming the show to cancellation.

Recently, a sequel to Mulligan's Stew, On The Road with 16 Children, was produced for the Discovery Health Channel.
