Married By America

Airing on the prolific Fox network, Married By America was a prequel series to their popular Married With Children. It starred Scott Bakula as a young Al Bundy and Jolene Blalock as his wife-to-be Peg. The show was much derided by fans of the original for the way that it played fast and loose with established continuity, although those who managaed to stick around for the fourth and final season can be forced to admit after a couple of drinks that by the end the show had actually improved to a tolerable level.
