MILF

MILF is an acronym for "Maternally Inclined Liberated Female".

The term refers to any suburban television mother, married or unmarried. They are generally strong-willed, quick-witted, sharp-tongued, and always inexplicably hot.

MILFs stands in sharp contrast to real-world suburban mothers, who are more often than not doughy heifers with bad skin and miserable grammar, lumbering around the neigborhood in Spandex sweatpants like 300 pounds of hamburger crammed into a couple of bratwurst casings.

This goes a long way toward explaining why television is such an enduringly popular form of escapist entertainment.
