Lakers vs. Celtics was a sequel to 2008 Stanley Cup Finals. Airing in 2008 on ABC, Lakers vs. Celtics featured the Los Angeles Galaxy as the "Celtics", a group of medieval warriors that battled against the "Lakers" (played by the New England Patriots), a group of gruesome monsters that emerged from a large lake in Scotland. The show was said to be inspired by both The Hundred Years War and the famous Lord Of The Rings trilogy.

Lakers vs. Celtics was mainly notable for inspiring record levels of angst, vitriol and hatred among ESPN anchors, and record low ratings for ABC.
