ION Television

From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.

ION Television is a new network started in 2007. ION combines two former networks, i! and K!, in a effort that network executives (currently operating out of a studio located in the hatchback of an AMC Pacer) say will combine the best synergy of both worlds.

...and no, I'm not really sure what they meant by that either.

In any case, much like K!, the idea is to use sound scientific reasoning to break new ground in broadcasting. Using a special signal from the ION satellite dish, the ions sent from the cathode ray tube of a TV set will be redistibuted among the phosphorescent dots, allowing the set to create its own programming. Despite the fact that their system will only work on sets designed by Philo T. Farnsworth, ION executives are planning on starting yet another network in 2007, called ION Life. No details are available about ION Life yet, but knowing them it's probably about the lives of typical ions or something like that.
