Hermione Granger: Earth Defence was a proposed spin-off of the BBC series Doctor Who, in which Dr. Who's former companion Hermione Granger (Billie Piper) would have battled magical alien threats to the planet. It never passed the conceptual stage, dismissed by Dr. Who creator Davis T. Russell as "a spin-off too far," and by Granger's creator J.K. Rowling as "legally actionable."
