Football Wives

Football Wives is a proposed replacement for the long-running ABC series Monday Night Football. Airing in the former MNF time slot, Football Wives will feature the actual wives, girlfriends and significant others of American football players. The guests (mostly but not entirely women) gossip about their football stars in a style similar to The View. Football Wives will also feature sports highlights, or at least highlights of athletes stumbling out of the local bar on the night before the big game.

Football Wives is based on the BBC series Footballer's Wives, which featured the wives of the stars of the English Premier League and ran from 2001 until its cancellation due to multiple lawsuits.
