Father Knows Best

Father Knows Best was part of the Sunday Night Mystery on NBC, a wheel show consisting of several mystery/detective series. Others shows on the wheel were McCloud, McMillan and Wife, and Columbo.

In Father Knows Best, Father Frank Dowling (Tom Bosley) solves a new mystery every episode, as the quiet parish priest happens to run across dead bodies at a rate higher than the average Baltimore homicide detective. His assistant in these investigation was Sister Josephina "Joe" Oskowski (Jane Wyman).

In the final episode, Father Downling and Sister Joe renounced their vows and got married.
