Fan Fiction is a form of slash fiction involving the use of copyrighted characters from TV, movies, or books. In Fan Fiction, these characters are placed in situations which force them into contact with rapidly spinning ventilation systems.

- Hermione Grainger and the Ceiling Fan of Doom
- Star Trek: Blow Job, in which Mr. Spock and Captain Kirk must shut down a giant fan operated by an ancient android race before it blows the Enterprise out of the solar system
- President George W. Bush vs. Cool Runnings, in which the President must outwit an air-conditioned blower manned by the Jamaican Bobsled Team.
- The Fantastic Three, in which Reed Richards, Susan Storm, and Ben Grimm must grapple with their grief after the extinguishing of the Human Torch by an oscillating room fan.
- CSI: The Case of the Felonious Fan, in which a Japanese paper fan is used to horribly murder and mutilate prostitutes.
