The FBI, a co-production by Quinn Martin and J. Edgar Hoover, was a short-lived Fox sitcom about two mismatched buddies (Efrem Zimbalist Jr. and Mr. T) who visited various female-oriented establishments posing as "Female Body Inspectors."

Despite positive ratings as the lead-out for Married... With Children, the series was cancelled after several reports of complaints from co-eds on spring break being hit on by creeps using the "Female Body Inspectors" technique.

To this day, gentlemen still try this technique, which is now somewhat modified. Dressed in clothing marked "FBI", they come to the doors of sororities across America yelling "FBI, OPEN UP!" Bootleggers of FBI-branded clothing often find themselves on the receiving end of a lawsuit from Martin/Hoover productions. In one embarrassing case, Zimbalist himself was accused of selling unlicensed FBI T-shirts. He was cleared of those charges after a thorough investigation from the chief law-enforcement agency of the United States, the FCC.
