Emperor Palpatine

Emperor Palpatine is the stage name of a singer (whose original name remains a mystery) who crashed the 1996 finale of Campaign! claiming to be the true Emperor of the United States of America. When then-host Al Franken attempted to rush the would-be Emperor off the stage, Palpatine responded by shooting a lightning bolt that completely ruined Franken's well-coiffed hairdo.

Impressed by Palpatine, The Venture Bros. hired him to take care of some unfinished real estate deals for them. By 2002, the talented Palpatine owned the entire state of Montana. Needing a fresh challenge, Palpatine convinced NBC to give him his own TV show, The Apprentice. There, he lords it over a bunch of reality show contestants, acting like the true Emperor he believes he was born to be.
