Eight Is Enough

Eight Is Enough was an early attempt at reality television broadcast on ABC in 1977. The show documented the family life of one of ABC's many associate producers, with enough details changed so as not to reveal their true identities. Not too surprisingly for a nation with only three viewing choices, America showed enough interest in Eight is Enough to keep it on the air for four seasons.

In 2007, the Discovery Channel created a remake of Eight is Enough titled Jon & Kate Plus 8.
