Easy Money is an upcoming television series. Based on the works of former BBC head writer Charles Dickens, Easy Money stars Laurie Metcalf, Gary Farmer, Jeff Hephner, Katie Lowes and Jay R. Ferguson.

Plot

Metcalf stars as Morgan Buffkin, a recently widowed mother of 3 adult children who finds herself in charge of Prestige Payday Loans, her eccentric family's enormously successful short-term loan business. Unfortunately, due to changes at the Federal Reserve System, Buffkin learns that the business is in deep trouble. The family is forced to use every trick they know to prevent Prestige Payday Loans from going bankrupt.

After each episode, Supreme Court justice Judge Reinhold gives a brief lecture on the workings of America's monetary system. So as not to bore the audience too much, Reinhold will be assisted by a group of Muppets

Airings

Easy Money will air on the CW network, with reruns airing on CNBC as that network's first dramatic series.
