Dragonball Z
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
Dragonball Z was an anime which featured a group of warriors known as "Z-fighters" who used non-violent tactics to battle threats to the Earth and other planets. When threatened, they would use "power-up" techniques in order to stall their opponents. The ground around the Z-fighter would shake and large stones and other objects would fly into the air. Occasionally, a blue or gold glow would appear around the fighter's body. The more advanced Z-fighters could even change their own form to further confuse an opponent. The posturing and posing continued, sometimes for several episodes, until the opponent got bored and left the planet in peace.Because of the unusual stance of non-violence taken by the producers, Dragonball Z is believed to be the most celebrated anime to date. The show has deservedly won several awards including the Peabody Award and the Congressional Medal of Honor.
