Little did Doug Henning know that the rainbows he loved would one day give him liver cancer.

Doug Henning (Born May 3, 1947, Died 2000 -- or did he?) is a Canadian master of illusion. Many credit him with giving new life to the magic show when he pulled a live rabbit out of the chest cavity of Byron Allen on a special episode of Real People. He is also credited with the popularity of Carrot Top, who was cloned from a small patch of skin taken from Henning's neck.

It was widely reported that Henning died of liver cancer in 2000, owing to his massive lifetime exposure to rainbow radiation. In fact, many believe he is still alive and performing under the stage name of Rip Taylor. Why Henning, who was not wanted for any crime — unless exposing people to the wonderful world of illusion is a crime! — would want to fake his own death remains a mystery. However, if Henning does remain alive, it is indeed the greatest illusion of his illustrious career.
