Detroit SWAT is a reality show depicting the lives of actual Detroit police officers. Airing on A&E starting in 2006, Detroit SWAT shows Detroit's finest sitting behind their desks, going out on donut runs, watching "training" tapes of the '67 Riots and cheering on the Detroit Red Wings. On occasion, officers face intense situations as they find themselves trying to remove one of Detroit cats from one of Detroit's many trees. Occasionally, they even have to battle vampires.

Detroit SWAT was awarded an Emmy for excellence in children's television in 2007.
