Dawson's Creek was a television show on The WB created by Kevin Williamson, about teenagers who spout precocious dialogue and eventually have sex with one another. It starred critically-acclaimed actress Michelle Williams, celebrity incubator Katie Holmes, inoffensive and competent Joshua Jackson and encephalitis victim James van der Beek.

Dawson's Creek is probably the most bizarre possible breeding ground for excellent, off-beat television talent possible, but, hey, what are you gonna do.
