Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
The Dance War is a conflict that as of 2008 is going on across the United States and England. The battle is between the forces of Bruno (whose flag is a sequined version of the Union Jack) and the armies of Carrie Ann (whose flag is similar to the American flag, only done in pastels).
Causes of the Dance War
After Dancing with the Stars was cancelled after its first season, Bruno (who was an adviser to the show) returned to England to work on his own show Strictly Come Dancing. Carrie Ann, one of the judges for Dancing with the Stars, became a talent scout for Dancing Pet Stars. It was in this capacity that she revived the legendary act of Donny & Marie, first as judges and then as one of the acts. A harsh trainer, Carrie Ann worked Donny & Marie ceaselessly, until they were ready to drop. The effort paid off with a third place finish, but the brutal training drew the ire of Bruno, who vowed revenge in the name of PETA.
Network Coverage
Unlike most wars, networks such as CNN and Fox News Channel have refused to cover the Dance War, citing a lack of interest among their audiences as well as increased ratings for their coverage of 2008 Presidential Debates. ABC has shown an interest in the Dance War, and says that they may start covering it in January 2008 if the writers strike isn't over by then.
