Connie Chung
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
Connie Chung is widely regarded as America's top performance artist. Starting with her debut on CBS Evening News, where she composed and sang a number of songs about the show Vietnam War, Chung has given her own unique slant to the news on CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, CNN, HBO, C-SPAN and the Discovery Times channel. Her most notable program was ABC's Saturday Night Fights where Chung would engage in a weekly speed-rap battle with arch-rival Barbara Walters (played by Rod Stewart). While on location in Oklahoma!, tragedy struck as Chung's notorious gangsta' style raps, along with the giant bass speakers she brought with her, destroyed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The loss of life combined with Chung's increasing gang related activities caused Saturday Night Fights to be cancelled. After a stint in rehab, Chung went on to work for CNN Headline News, where she remained until that network began airing Nancy Grace non-stop. Chung currently is working for MSNBC, where she is busy producing an Off-Broadway one woman show featuring the hits of Frank Sinatra.
Chung is happily married to CBS Chief Executive Officer Les Moonves.
