Chico and the Man

From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.

Chico and the Man was a 1977 sitcom which starred a then 2-year-old Freddie Prinze Jr. as Chico, a young toddler trying to get by in the mean streets of Los Angeles. Each week, Chico would cause some sort of mischief that his father, referred to only as "The Man" (Freddie Prinze Sr), would need to handle.

Due to a contract dispute with NBC (and a large win in the then-new California state lottery), the senior Prinze left the show after only a few episodes and moved to Mexico. Attempts were made to retool Chico and the Man but ratings dropped and the show was soon cancelled.
