Celebrity Poker Challenge

From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.

Celebrity Poker Challenge is an original blend of both the game show and reality television genres on the Bravo Network. Each week, celebrities are invited to what they think is a friendly poker game at a fabulous Las Vegas casino. Instead, they are sealed off in an abandoned warehouse that has been wired with closed-circuit cameras. For the next two hours, the celebrities are jabbed with white-hot pokers until they can no longer stand the searing pain and smell of burning flesh. The last celebrity to endure this involuntary branding is declared the winner, and $50 is donated in their name to Amnesty International.

Tony Danza is the most successful contestant on Celebrity Poker Challenge, having won in all five of his appearances. "Each time I get the invitation, I think it's really going to be a card game," Danza said during his last appearance. "God, I really am dumber than a drawer filled with rocks."

Celebrity Poker Challenge is hosted by former Kids in the Hall contestant Dave Foley. It is produced by that froggy-looking guy who used to be on Sports Night.
