Brothers & Sisters
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
Brothers & Sisters, a dramatic series that began airing in 2006 on ABC, depicts the life of the Hatfields, a typical family living in the backwoods of West Virginia. After the tragic death of their father, "Paw", the Hatfield family must adjust to living with each other in a small rural cabin. The siblings must also run the family's moonshining business, while dealing with their rivals, the nearby McCoy family. Hatfield family matriarch "Maw" (Sally Field) is forced to ignore her grief as she deals with her family while attempting to unionize the local textile mill. Maw's constant battling for liberal causes gets her into constant conflicts with her conservative daughter, "Miss Kitty" (Calista Flockhart).
ABC has stated in press releases that Brothers & Sisters will have "the types of inter-family relationships never seen before on network TV". The exact nature of these sibling "relationships" remains a closely guarded secret. The FCC has stated that they will be keeping a close eye on this particular show.
