British Saskatchewan
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
Centrally located in Canadia, British Saskatchewan is a barren, rocky place where few people live. Its location made it an ideal spot for Canadia's tyrannical monarch King Friday XIII to place the one and only CBC transmitter and antenna in 1953. Still operating to this day, the 2.1 kilometer (4.85 mile) high tower is visible throughout British Saskatchewan on a clear day. Under the right atmospheric conditions, British Saskatchewan residents can pick up CBC programming on almost any kitchen appliance.
The origin of the name "British Saskatchewan" is unclear, although it may have something to do with the BBC, which supplied much of the CBC's programming in the early days of the television network.
