Located on the west coast of Canada, British Columbia is one of the most unique places in all the world. Thanks to the miracle of geology, every place on Earth looks like some spot in British Columbia. Because of this, television producers use British Columbia as a stand-in for almost anyplace. British Columbia's capital, Vancouver, was built with this in mind, as it is able to stand in for any city in the world.

British Columbia was a colony of South America's Colombia for many years, until it was nationalized by Canada's King Friday XIII in 1958. Today, British Columbia is controlled by England. None of this matters, though, as the real government was and continues to be the major TV studios, which own 98.4% of the land in British Columbia.
